Richard LeSassier

Richard received his Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. A third generation oil field professional, he began his land career in Midland, Texas in 1976. For over thirty years, Richard has worked as an independent landman, in house land manager and operator in oil provinces throughout Texas and the surrounding states.

Mark Boyt

Mark joined BBX in 2007. He coordinates land functions related to a multi-rig drilling program including leasing, title research, surface access agreements, and land owner and industry partner relations. He has fifteen years experience as an independent field landman,and two years as in-house landman with Jones Energy Ltd. Mark earned his Bachelors degree from the University of Texas at Austin and is a member of AAPL and APLA.

Marc Ware

Marc joined BBX in 2011 with thirty-one years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He directs field brokers related to a drilling program including leasing, title research and opinions, curative issues, pipe line and surface access agreements as well as surface and mineral owner relations.

He started his oil and gas career in 1979 working on offshore production platforms and on jack-up barge casing and pipe line crews in the Gulf of Mexico. This continued for summers and holidays until he earned his Bachelors degree from Sam Houston State University and his Masters Degree from Texas A&M University, College Station Texas.Additionally, he has experience in building, promoting, selling, drilling, completing and operating oil and gas wells. He has eighteen years as a professional independent field landman, and of that he operated his own landman services company for ten years. Marc has worked all over Texas and all the surrounding states. He is a member of the AAPL and APLA.

Brent Cantalope

Brent joined the BBX team in January 2006 and currently handles aspects of field landwork and leasing, and in-house land responsibilities. He is also involved in generating and researching new prospects and land opportunities through Texas and the US. Brent also maintains Geographix mapping system for BBX Land department. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Agriculture from South Dakota State University.

Billy Davenport

Billy previously worked for Nucor Corporation for four years.  After leaving Nucor, Billy worked as a contract landman for 10 years before joining BBX.  He currently offices out of our East Texas office.

Joel Robbins

Joel joined the BBX team after five years of varied land work in the Barnett Shale. He coordinates the development and maintenance of the BBX land management system with field colleagues, in addition to in-house land and leasing responsibilities. Joel received his Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Texas Tech University and is a member of AAPL, APLA and DAPL. He earned the AAPL Registered Professional Landman certification in 2010.

Katelyn Jones Hickman

Katelyn is responsible for calculating all of the mineral owner interests as well as sending out all division orders and handling any changes to mineral owner accounts. She works very closely with the in-house landmen and assists with most aspects of creating and finalizing producing units. She is the main royalty relations contact and understands the importance of good mineral owner relationships.

Katelyn received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas in 2007 and joined the BBX land department in February 2008. Since Joining BBX, she has completed several continuing education courses through the AAPL education program.

Nan Jones

Nan joined the BBX Land Department in January of 2011, but she brought plenty of varied work experience with her. Originally from West Texas, Nan worked for Mobil Oil Company in Midland for eight years.  As a Division Order Analyst for BBX, Nan handles all aspects of calculating Net Revenue Interest and communications with Royalty Owners.
